3. Hazardous lie: If your ball is on rocks, up against a tree, prickly bush, root of a tree: Take a drop ball within 2 club lengths no closer to the hole. 1 stroke penalty (or break your club)
4. Putting: Putt everything out.
5. Ex hard sand, rocks, or unkempt bunkers.
6. Bad Lie / Improving Lie: You can improve the lie of your golf ball if it is in play. You may adjust your ball 2 inches in each direction to improve your ball lie. See hazardous lie section as you can improve the lie two club lengths away from target if needed but it will cost you a 1 stroke penalty. You cannot improve the lie of the ball out of bounce if you wish to hit the ball when out of bounce its at your own risk.
7. Scoring Max Limits: Par 3 – double par – (6), Par 4 – double par (8), Par 5 – four over (9).
8. Starting Tee’s: White Mens Tee’s for all golf courses unless White tees are under 5,600 yards.
9. Scoring: Each group will oversee making sure the rules are followed. If your group cannot agree on ruling or need any questions, please reach out to the members of the executive committee for ruling on the spot.
10. Handicap: The max handicap will be a 24 or 25 for tournament net stroke play. That means if it’s a par 70 and you shoot a 94 you really shoot a 70. You would get 1 stroke on the all 18 holes and an additional 1 stroke given on the hardest 6 holes. This is also because we have issued max scores for all scoring which already is helping the highest of the handicappers due to no 15s on a par 3. If there is a tournament where we do shamble (which is take best drive and play your own ball), match play, or other, then handicaps will be based at 90% or whatever specified number for the tournament.
11. Random drug testing rules will apply all year. No PEDs.
12. The Tiebreaker if any will be a 9 hole match against handicap net stroke play.
